With wavefront-guided customised laser surgery the laser is applied according to the information obtained from our aberrometer.

The human eye is not a perfectly regular lens with a surface like a snooker ball or an egg. Particularly in astigmatic eyes, there are small irregularities that have a detrimental effect on vision quality. Standard corrections of refractive errors using glasses, contact lenses or traditional laser surgery, treat the eye as though it was perfectly regular and therefore apply a single degree of correction over the whole area of vision. With the aberrometer we divide the field of vision into 64 segments and by examining these different subsections we can analyse the precise degree of correction that is necessary for each one.

This opens up the possibility of designing a specific treatment for each eye. As a result, the quality of your sight is also improved in terms of sensitivity to contrast, night vision, glare etc.
